Position Overview
Electra.aero, a next-gen aerospace technology company, seeks a dynamic and energetic IT Manager. This role will manage the entire company’s IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT generalist background within a fast-paced, innovative environment. As the first full-time IT hire for Electra, this role will require a versatile, multi-skilled IT professional who can be a jack of all trades who is responsible for ensuring that Electra’s Information Technology systems and policies are appropriately configured to support the company’s operations (engineering, manufacturing, finance, HR and administrative) and ensuring high fidelity protection from cyber security threats. This role will manage IT compliance matters throughout the organization with an established operating rhythm and look for ways to continually improve Electra’s Information Technology systems and processes in order to increase and enhance performance efficiencies across the group.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Networks, Systems, Software and Services
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PCs, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers
- Manage the network systems, ensuring operational security and readiness of the network infrastructure and all elements of the end-to-end service chain.
- Support configuring networks, hardware and software, and in troubleshooting IT issues, providing technical assistance to systems users and resolving complex operating problems.
- Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft SharePoint Web application platform and run necessary system backups, provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues; manage and monitor SharePoint permissions, disk space usage, and server functionality; analyze and report on site and disk space usage, growth, and activity.
- Support the corporate Internet, Intranet and Extranet sites; internal and external web-based applications; and support and maintenance of applications.
- Manage long-term planning, including circuit forecasts, traffic studies, mobile device usage, budgets, and other network performance criteria.
- Develop strategies for conducting studies to estimate the disk space, computer hardware, software and connection infrastructure resources required on a short and long term basis.
- Manage the procurement of IT and Infosec hardware, software and tools, including coordinating the preparation of bid specifications for required purchases (e.g. computers, software, email, firewall, and backup capabilities, and a variety of parts, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items.
- Evaluate new information systems products and services and suggest changes to existing products or services to better aid the end user with respect to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
- Support the evaluation of significant enterprise ERP decisions, which will be led by executive committee functional leaders.
- Manage vendor relationships with LECS, CAPs and other service providers and oversees the ordering process to effectively and economically meet grade of service objectives.
Cybersecurity/Infosec
- Develop maintain, improve, and manage IT and InfoSec policies and procedures, necessary for standardizing how IT and InfoSec problems are identified, documented, addressed and remediated
- Ensure all data encoded and saved as computer files is guarded against unauthorized use by designing, implementing and maintaining security policies, procedures aligned with System Updates, System Integration, and Software Engineering Support.
- Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision and maintain Electra’s security toolset to support continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
- Provide information systems security guidance awareness and training for Electra employees and develop, manage and maintain security plans, standard operating procedures and security test and evaluation plans.
- Interface with program management and other staff on security requirements implementation, required documentation, and classification management.
- Keenly keep abreast of industry best practices and trends, as well as new technologies, and then plan and advise for implementation, and monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in Network Engineering, Information Assurance, Systems Engineering, IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science or related major and
- 12+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience).
Required Skills:
- Experience with Networks, Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, SharePoint, and various cloud services.
- Experience with portal site customization, including setting up securities, designing site structure and content types is preferred.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Technical awareness of Enterprise Content Management Systems.
- Experience with Web Front End servers, Index servers, Search Servers, Central Administrator servers, and SQL Server instances.
- Experience with My Sites and Profile Service data, Experience with Excel services.
- SharePoint migration experience is a plus.

Location:
Headquarters in Manassas, VA. To encourage close collaboration this position is strongly preferred to be on-site.
Travel: <25%Salary: Electra's salary range for this position is: $104,000.00- $264,000.00
Our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum range for the Company level overall across all locations & projects and does not necessarily reflect the budgeted amount for this position. Individual pay is based on additional factors, including project budgets, job-related skills, experience, relevant education and/or training, role, level, location, and project.

Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a warehouse/aviation and office environment, which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs.
